CTG Belgium is looking for Experienced IT Support Engineers (1st/2nd line) to strengthen our Support Team for projects in the greater Antwerp / Brussels / Gent / Brabant area.

Our Support Team, a solution-focused group of highly skilled technicians, consists of Service desk Engineers, 2nd Line Support Engineers, Field Engineers and System Specialists.

CTG's IT Service Management department provides a broad vision to Service Management, leveraging partnerships with e.g. ServiceNow, Atlassian, MicroFocus and OMNINET.

Job description

As a Service Desk Engineer, you handle incoming calls, tickets and mails and you prioritize and resolve the incidents carefully and efficiently. As a 2nd Line Support Engineer you deal with more in-depth technical incidents and problems both remote and onsite.

You register the incidents and requests in Service Management Tools and use the customer's processes and industry standards to resolve the issues, find root causes for problems and so on. You handle the requests in a smooth and formal manner, both spoken and in writing.

Depending on your own ambitions and interests, you will have the opportunity to grow within CTG.

Profile

Ideally, you hold an IT-related Bachelors’ or Masters’ Degree (or equal by experience).

You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

You know and/or have experience in:

  • Troubleshooting software and hardware issues
  • Windows Client/Server OS (including Windows Virtual Desktop/VDI), Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, MS Exchange, Azure, Active Directory, SCCM, MS Intune, Virtualization, …
  • Experience with service management tools such as JIRA Service Desk, ServiceNow or OMNITRACKER is an asset
  • PowerShell or other scripting languages are a plus
  • MacOS, Android and Linux are a plus
  • Docker and Kubernetes are a plus


Fluent communication skills in English, Dutch and French are a prerequisite.

Being ITIL Foundation certified is a plus.

Other qualities that a Support Engineer needs are logical thinking, patience, diplomacy and customer focus, fast learning skills and being able to work under pressure.

You are flexible and have no problem working in different shifts or occasionally in weekends and during holidays.
