The Regulatory Compliance unit of CTG Belgium is looking for junior Data Privacy Consultants for the realization of its projects in the field of Data Privacy & Compliance. These projects are situated in various organizations and companies that have to comply with the European laws on data privacy and protection, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

You will start with 2 weeks of intensive training to become a Data Privacy Consultant after which you will join your colleagues on exciting and challenging projects with our clients. Next training start on October 3^rd of February 2020.

Job Description

As a Data Privacy Consultant, you ensure the correct application of the laws and regulations regarding data privacy and you are responsible for the integration of these into the daily operations of an organization or enterprise.

The following activities can be part of your responsibilities: you create an awareness about the correct processing of personal data by developing and providing training; you are responsible for setting up a data register; you develop processes that enable data subjects to effectively exercise their rights, implement and facilitate these; you give advice on information security and protection of personal data and on how to deal with data leaks; you evaluate contracts with third parties regarding the processing of personal data; you provide advice on available technology, etc...

Profile

• at least one Master's degree in Law, Economic Sciences, Political & Social Sciences, an Advanced Master's degree in Digital Humanities or equivalent;
• knowledge of and affinity with European data privacy laws and regulations such as the GDPR is an asset but not necessary;
• excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• fluent in English and Dutch or French, both oral and written;
• good organizational skills
• working in a solution-oriented manner and taking initiative;
• integrity and discretion combined with the necessary persuasiveness and perseverance;
• flexible mindset;
• an eye for detail and quality;
• team player who can also work independently;
• affinity with IT;
• knowledge of MS Office;
• driving license B.
