Senior Workplace Engineer

CTG IT Solutions is an IT Services Company dedicated to European Institutions. We are currently hiring an Senior Workplace Engineer, to join the multicultural team of a prestigious European Institution in Brussels. 

Mission

• Execute architecture and technology studies, considering user requirements, technology evolution, standards, as well as aspects like ergonomics, ecological footprint, scalability, maintainability, and financial considerations.
• Define, prepare, and execute tests or proofs of concept to validate new solutions or technologies.
• Perform capacity planning based on usage history and forecasts to ensure resource optimization.
• Write detailed technical specifications for proposed projects and solutions.
• Plan and supervise system migrations.
• Ensure quality assurance during deployments and assess the performance of IT solutions, making recommendations for continuous improvement.
• Assist in the implementation, customization, and parameterization of information systems (databases, prototyping, programming).
• Develop training programs, deliver sessions, and assess their effectiveness based on organizational needs.
• Document processes and maintain up-to-date technical infrastructure documentation

Your profile

• Demonstrated experience in IT architecture and engineering, with strong expertise in managing Windows 10/11 environments.
• Familiarity with Windows deployment and imaging tools, such as SCCM, Intune, and Windows Autopilot.
• Strong knowledge of Windows security features (Windows Defender, Exploit Guard, etc.).
• Proficient in Windows update management.
• Hands-on experience with third-party tools such as Patch my PC and Powershell Deployment Toolkit.
• Expert in using GPOs.
• Fluent in English, French is a plus.
