Network/Security Consultant

We are looking for a skilled Network Security Consultant to join our dynamic team, contributing to advanced and complex network security projects.

In this role, you will be pivotal in designing, implementing, and enhancing network solutions within an enterprise environment, while also serving as an escalation engineer for managing network infrastructure.

Ideal candidates will have in-depth expertise in network security, routing, and advanced troubleshooting, with specific proficiency in ASA, FortiGate, Checkpoint, and network proxies.

You should excel in deploying and managing cloud-based and hybrid solutions on AWS, implementing SD-WAN architectures, and configuring sophisticated wireless and wired networks.

Additionally, you will drive network performance optimization, ensure security compliance, and lead innovations in network architecture.

A proven record in delivering high-availability solutions and supporting business continuity through strong knowledge of BGP, NAC, and scalable network design is essential.

Key Skills:

• Network Security: Expert in deploying and administering Cisco ASA, FortiGate, and Checkpoint firewalls. Proficient in policy configuration, VPN setup (IPSec, SSL), firewall rule optimization, DDoS mitigation, SSL/TLS encryption, and network segmentation.
• SD-WAN: Hands-on experience in SD-WAN setup, management, and performance tuning for enhanced latency, resiliency, and bandwidth optimization.
• Network Access Control: Proficient in implementing NAC solutions to ensure secure, identity-based access, policy enforcement, and compliance management.
• Proxies and Content Filtering: Experienced in managing proxy servers and content filtering to enforce web security policies and mitigate web-based threats.
• Web Application Firewall: Proficient in configuring and managing WAF solutions (e.g., AWS WAF, F5 ASM, Cloudflare) to protect against common web application threats.
• Load Balancers: In-depth experience with Layer 4 and Layer 7 load balancing using platforms such as Radware and F5 BIG-IP for enhanced traffic distribution and application performance.
• Routing & Switching: Expertise in BGP, OSPF, and advanced routing policy design for network reliability and performance. Skilled in configuring wireless network infrastructure, WLCs, and NAC policies to provide secure, role-based access.
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Proven ability to resolve complex multi-vendor network issues and layered network services, leveraging packet analysis and diagnostic tools for root cause analysis.

Experience with the following skills will be considered an advantage:

• Wireless Networks: Skilled in designing and troubleshooting enterprise-grade wireless networks, including Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs), Access Points (APs), and wireless security protocols.
• VMware NSX-T: Skilled in network virtualization, security, and software-defined data centre environments.
• Cloud Networking: Skilled in AWS VPC, Direct Connect, Route 53, and hybrid cloud networking solutions. Knowledgeable in AWS security services and network monitoring tools. AWS Elastic Load Balancing.
• Network Automation & Scripting: Familiar with automation frameworks like Ansible and Python scripting to enhance efficiency in network configurations and monitoring.
• Performance Optimization: Experienced in diagnosing and addressing latency, throughput, and performance issues using network diagnostic tools and configuration tuning for peak efficiency.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Degree in Computer Science, Networks, Telecommunications, or equivalent (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree).
• Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) or Cisco Certified Network Professional - [Security, Routing & Switching, or another track]
• Fortinet NSE 4 or NSE 7
• AWS Certified Solutions Architect
• Check Point Certified Security Expert (CCSE)
• Additional Certifications relevant to SD-WAN, wireless networking, or network security
