The Technical Writer is responsible for creating and maintaining high-quality technical documentation, including user guides, FAQs, standard operating procedures, administration manuals, service descriptions, and other types of technical documents. This role also involves managing and updating content in various formats, including Word, PDF, and in systems like wikis and intranets.
Your tasks:
Write, edit, and structure comprehensive technical documentation that meets the needs of end-users and internal teams.
Produce and maintain various types of documents: user guides, administration manuals, service descriptions, procedures, FAQs, etc.
Work closely with technical, support, and development teams to gather accurate and up-to-date information on products and services.
Ensure the quality and consistency of produced documents, following the company's standards and guidelines.
Manage and organize content in dedicated systems (wikis, intranet, knowledge bases) to facilitate easy access to information for users.
Actively participate in documentation reviews to identify and correct errors, updating documents to reflect product changes.
Required Skills:
Experience in technical writing: ability to create clear, concise, and technically accurate documents.
Excellent documentation skills: proficiency in document creation tools (Word, PDF) and content management systems (wikis, intranet).
Strong communication and collaboration skills: ability to work well with diverse teams and convey complex information in an accessible manner.
Team leadership: ability to guide and coordinate workgroups to ensure the consistency and quality of produced content.
Your profile:
Bachelor degree in technical writing, communications, computer science, or a related field.
Fluent in English & French
Around 6 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on technical documentation for technology products or services.
Familiarity with documentation management and content creation tools (Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, wikis, intranet).
