VMware Administrator/NSX-T Specialist

CTG IT Solutions is an IT Services Company dedicated to European Institutions. We are currently hiring an VMware Administrator with advanced expertise in NSX-T Data Center to strengthen our team within a prestigious European Institution.

Your Missions

VMware & vSphere Administration

• Operate and maintain multi-cluster VMware vSphere infrastructure (PROD, Non-PROD and Management clusters).
• Configure and manage ESXi hosts, vCenter Server instances (HA mode) and datastores over FC SAN.
• Oversee DRS and HA configurations, performance tuning and capacity planning.
• Manage resource isolation between management and workload clusters to ensure stability and performance.

NSX-T Data Center

• Administer NSX-T components including Managers, Edge Nodes, Transport Zones, T0/T1 Gateways, BGP configuration and segments.
• Configure micro-segmentation, distributed firewalls and routing to meet security and performance objectives.
• Manage Transport Node Profiles, uplink configurations and TEP IP pools.
• Support integration of NSX Advanced Load Balancer (NSX ALB) for PROD and Non-PROD environments.

Monitoring & Logging

• Operate VMware Aria Operations for Logs and Networks for proactive monitoring and troubleshooting.
• Implement and refine affinity/anti-affinity rules for workload distribution and resiliency.

Security & Networking

• Implement zero-trust networking principles within the NSX-T environment.
• Ensure proper VLAN, VRF and firewall configurations for management, workload and inter-DC communication.
• Collaborate with security teams to meet compliance and policy requirements.

Documentation & Process

• Maintain up-to-date configuration documentation, topology diagrams and operational runbooks.
• Participate in change management, disaster recovery planning and regular DR simulation tests.
• Support automation initiatives using PowerCLI or other scripting tools.

Your profile

Technical Skills:

• Proven experience administering VMware vSphere (vCenter, ESXi) in multi-datacenter environments.
• Strong hands-on expertise with VMware NSX-T (Managers, Edge Nodes, routing, micro-segmentation).
• Experience with FC SAN storage integration in VMware environments.
• Knowledge of DRS, HA, affinity rules, and performance optimization.
• Familiarity with VMware Aria Operations for Logs/Networks (vRNI).
• Strong networking knowledge (VLANs, VRFs, BGP, routing).
• Proficient in scripting for automation (PowerCLI, Python).
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

• VMware Certified Professional (VCP-NV or VCP-DCV) or higher.
• Experience with zero-trust architectures and micro-segmentation strategies.
• Familiarity with load balancing solutions (NSX ALB/AVI).
• Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud VMware deployments.
